Hi there, I’m Jaime and I’ve been with WomanCraft since the summer of 2024. I love being in community with this great group of women artists. My contribution to the store is pottery and I finally have figured out how to be able to do this work full time. I started JPP Pottery (Jaime and Peter Paiton) in August of 2023. Besides keeping his full-time job, my husband helps the business by making glaze, keeping up the website and making some hand built things on the side. We both love it.
As I talk about in the video, we recently discovered how much we love doilies. I bought a vase from another potter as I was first starting out. When she explained how she made it we realized that anything with a cool pattern and some texture can be rolled into a slab of clay. So the discovery of doilies at a thrift store was like gold to us. I hope the experiments never end!
